Warm & walking

Pre-planned was our day of 20 kms walk in Leiden region, then we did not know it was to be another HOT Summer's Day about 30°C again ~ I love that, but got some sunburn yesterday so 't was a bit too much today 4 me

We passed from this House Warmond (old Dutch spelling: Huys Warmont) what is now a castle-like building located on the village Warmond's edge, actually all close to Leiden city. This building is a late 18th century "countryside mansion" that was once occupied by the lords of Warmond, liberals in their minds. At present the house is inhabited privately and it has no access to the public.
This site writes more about its history of castles and occupants and their dwellings but it's all in dutch.... and here's another: its history runs back to 13th Century
