Pirate?

Well, I can see an eye, a mouth and the strap going across the forehead for the eyepatch on the other eye.

First time I've been able to get out for a walk at lunchtime for ages today. Wandered down to the Gunnersbury Triangle Nature Reserve and found this bark on a tree.
