Looking up again

Another roof-top and sky – a sky that is still blue, but with white clouds.

This is the lead cupola at the top of the tower of St Cuthbert’s Church, Carlisle. It is the Civic Church of the city, but is very much over-shadowed by the Cathedral close by.

The 1778 on the weather vane relates to the date the church was rebuilt . . . for the fourth time! The first time it was destroyed by raiding Vikings.

Still hot.
