Crystals

Being winter in New Zealand, there is plenty of snow around! Well, maybe not as much as other years, but it has been very cold.

I don't know the plant name off hand, but the snow structure is what prompted this photo. With the cold temperatures and frost the snow surface is getting a crystallised texture.

The entire landscape was a beautiful texture, snow, tussock hummocks, mountains, and blue sky.

p.s I am told by a friend at work that the seedhead is Yarrow.
