Painted Lady Butterfly (Vanessa cardui)

I missed the superpod of whales out at Lime Kiln today...just sick about that, and would have so loved to have been there. Some of the L's came in today too. Timing is everything.

I did manage a trip up to the gardens this afternoon, and found a painted lady butterfly that stole the show for me! Hope you like it...as I couldn't decide which one to post, ha!
