Lupins

First thanks for all your comments yesterday - amazing what an "Ahhh" photo can do to you lot.

There is a link between yesterday and today. Noticed recently that about 4 small fields in the village had an unusual crop and as it grew it began to look like lupin. Speaking to the farmer yesterday and he confirmed that yes they were lupins and he was experimenting to see how they would do as a soya substitute to be used for pig feed. Apparently very common in Iceland so why not Shetland? I do hope they are a success as they should look good in full bloom.
