WWII Soldier

Today I visited the D-Day Museum in Portsmouth. My main reason to visit was to see the Overlord Embroidery - a huge tapestry inspired by the Bayeux Tapestry - telling the story of the war from 1940 to victory. It consists of 34 panels each 8ft x 3ft displayed in a specially designed circular gallery within the D-Day Museum. No photos allowed of the tapestry so I can't show you that but I was moved by this statue outside the entrance to the museum. If I can, I will add a pic of the whole statue to my Blipfolio but I am using my iPad and the app doesn't seem to have the facility to add to the folio. Meanwhile, here is his head - so expressive I think.
Try this Link it does work but it goes to the first pic in the folio - select the last one on the right at the bottom !
