Ghost Ship............

.............with a Crew of Gulls

The Janie Seddon sitting in swirls of late morning mist at Motueka, NZ.

Our day started in sunshine, followed by fog then the odd shower of rain.

The Janie Seddon
- Was brought to NZ in 1903 from England
- Based in Wellington during both World Wars
- Bought as a fishing vessel by the Motueka Trawling Company
- Her days as a fishing boat ended in 1948
- At this stage, she was moored at the Motueka Wharf, then at Port Nelson before returning to Motueka.
- Eventually she was put up for tender as scrap and with no response she was beached at her present site.
