Toadally Mad

Lovely Friends

Here are H & B outside their cottage. We were just saying goodbye to H who was going away on a trip - hope we'll see her again soon in Edinburgh.

Had a busy day driving to the south of Orkney, across the barriers - built in WW2 by Italian POWs - which block off several of the channels into Scapa Flow. The difference in the water each side is remarkable, with the sea side being much calmer than Scapa Flow which was very choppy. We visited the Italian Chapel, made from 2 Nissen huts and beautifully decorated inside, then went right to the far end of South Ronaldsay to the Tomb of the Eagle - tomb itself not very interesting but the cliff walk to get there was stunning. We have been so lucky with the weather on this holiday ;-)
