A Stones Throw

It was a science day today and we're working up a new project looking at the scientific study of the origin, history, and structure of the Earth according to our expert advisory group.

I was particularly interested in the rocks that are produced naturally in the earth-so I took a photo of the little pot of genius shown here. We were talking about how rocks have been used by mankind throughout history.

From the Stone Age, rocks have been used for tools and we learned about how the minerals and metals found in rocks have been essential to human civilization.

I could go on but I just thought they looked rather nice together in this pot.
