School's Out

Today I had arranged to give a Mackintosh Tour, which was a prize at the Deco Diva event in June.

The tour started at Mackintosh Queen's Cross and then we headed down town to the Lighthouse. We took in the Mackintosh Interpretation Centre and then made our way up to the sixth floor to take in the panoramic views of Glasgow.

We then walked down to St. Enoch's and caught the subway to Scotland Street School. During our tour of the School we met two lovely girls who were enjoying the experience in one of the classrooms. This is Megan and Jessica, who are up from Sheffield with their mum and dad. This was a break from their busy schedule at the Commonwealth Games.

After lunch at Ashton Lane we made our way up to the Hunterian and the Mackintosh House for a tour of the house and the exhibition area. We finished the day taking in the excellent Mackintosh Architectural Exhibition. I think fellow blipper Ruth and her husband Douglas enjoyed the day.

Well done to Daniel Keatings and Eilidh Child at the Games.
