Sunrise over Syria

Chaghcharan

This is the place where the Afghans do NOT want to go: not secure, without good services and – the most important – very isolated (2-day-ride from any big city). Prices are high because everything has to be driven from far distance and through the Taliban-controlled area. At the top of this, tribal clashes are common. This is the general perception of Ghor province among the Afghans. Chaghcharan, the capital is as far as expats (foreign experts) can go.
