Astronomical Event: comet passes ...

... the rabbit in the full moon.
Or so it would seem through my camera.I was trying to take a photo of the vining leaves silhouetted by the sun coming through the window and shining on a cushion the has a rabbit in the moon design on it.
The window shade was pulled nearly down and this sun angled its way in and onto the sofa cushions.
Try as I might I could not get the photo to look like what I was seeing. Ever have that experience?
No shadows of the delicate leaves; the sun blotted them out and turned the blip into a comet. Or if I had lifted the shade further up, it could have been an eclipse... inside my house.
