To-day was the day that Harebrain and I met at our nearby vineyard for the serious business of the inauguration of her adopted vine, it is a red and will be known by the name of Harebrain.
Due-ing the beginning of building the vineyard, it was found that it would lie within the grounds of an old Roman fort and during digging lots of bits and bobs that went back to the Romans were uncovered, these included coins and bits of pottery, and one of these pieces of pottery was engraved with a hare. Harebrain has been my dear friend for many, many years so when it came to her special birthday I thought that this would fit the bill.
The Romans also brought with them many, many herbs- as well as the hares- and the vineyard has an impressive herb garden to celebrate this, hence the Cardamon.
