Art Nouveau house in Lucca

I had to hold the camera through an iron gate to get the picture, it was getting dark, the traffic was heavy, horns were honking. This is my excuse for the photograph being a bit crooked.

There are a number of these art nouveau houses in Lucca but this one is the most colourful. They are called "Liberty Houses" because art nouveau was called "Liberty" in Italy, after the first department store to carry the designs.
