Parents... Meet the Parents

Tonight, my parents were meeting J's parents to discuss some pre-wedding 'thing that should happen' or traditions one might call it. My parents aren't all clued up on the whole Chinese wedding thing as one, they've had no experience really as our family is small and two, I'm the eldest and the first to get married. So the chance to get to talk to J's more experienced parents was a good idea.

We went to Matthews to have dinner, there was a lot of talk whilst we waited for delayed and lack of service... it seemed like they were short staffed or something today. They food was only OK, we had a whole Turbot too, but they wasted a perfectly brilliant fish by deep frying it!!!! This is the lobster fried with ginger and spring onion with a noodle base...

Everything worked out OK, both sides were happy. Just need to wait until they get us some dates to pick from for our wedding banquet!
