Stirling Buildings - Mar's Wark

Another in my occasional series of Stirling buildings. This is part of Mar's Wark which stands at the top of Broad street , a short way from the Castle and next to the Holy Rude Church.
This was a fine residence built in the 16th Century by the Earl of Mar, who, amongst other things was the guardian of Stirling Castle. The walls have ornate carvings along with various coats of arms .
In the 17th Century it became a work house leading to it being known as Mars Wark.
On a very gloomy evening a mono image was the best I could do.
