The Bull and the Cow

Rocky islands off the end of Dursey island at the end of the Beara peninsula.

We set off first thing, stopped off briefly in Glengarriff, at Adrigole Pier, and had many other stops for pictures before having coffee and cake in Castletownbere mid-morning. We took a wander around the docks of the little fishing port, before deciding to continue west.
Many more stops were taken for yet more pictures then we landed on the beach at Allihies where we got out the tripods and attempted some slow water shots as well as having a paddle. The water was vigorous and refreshing. By then the sun was shining but squally showers stalked along the backs of the hills.
Then we went into Allihies village to have a pub lunch, both feeling hungry and tired by then. After the meal we were astonished to discover that it was six o'clock!! Where had all the time gone?
Undeterred though we continued around the coast. So many pictures but I like this which shows how far we went. At first I thought they were the Skelligs but after a look at a map I realised that they are further north so I think these must be Bull Rock and Cow Rock, but please anyone correct me if I am wrong.
We drove on though Eyries then up over the hill back to Castletownbere and then homeward, too tired for any further stops despite the gorgeous evening light.
A great day out, but exhausting !
