Red Arrows Over Dunster Castle....

We took the 40 mile drive to Dunster Castle today and the trip was not without it's difficulties, Maddi was travel sick and threw up in the back of the car, luckly we had a set of spare clothes, and after she was fine.

The National trust have done a fine job of this castle, some of it dates back to the 11th century, although most was added on to the shell in the 16th and 17th Century, whilst there we were treated to a flying display by the Red Arrows who flew over the Tor as seen here, as they were giving a display in Minehead just down the road.

All too soon it was time to go, or so we thought, Maddi had discovered that there was a show of Alice in Wonderland and she was determined to be in it, so we paid the £3:00 for the Actors Workshop and off she went. At 6:00pm the show started with tickets at £13:00 each and there were places for kids, near the stage, a place for picnic blankets and at the back a place for chairs. As we had come without a Picnic or chairs, I proceeded to drag a steel bench to the grass for us to sit on.
Let the show begin, and so it did, but without any children in it, the workshop was just a ruse to get a bit more money, Maddi was so disappointed not to be in the show as were loads of other little girls, some of whom had dressed up for the parts.

Any way in the interval it started to rain so we headed home via Burnham on Sea for Dinner at Weather spoons, and a spot of shopping as Maddi had eaten us out of almost everything in the caravan.
