We Buy White Albums

I love this. More than 1,000 copies of the Beatles' White Album form a pop up shop in the loading bay at Fact. The shop won't sell you anything. It will only buy (a White Album) from you. A kind of anti-shop.

It's an inspired choice of album, not because it's any good, but because over time the uniform white covers have evolved in line with their owners - coffee stains, doodles, foxing and any other number of flaws and patterns. From being all exactly the same on release, each one has become unique.
