We went to the three James plays the National Theatre Scotland produced for the Edinburgh International Festival. Seven and a half hours of theatre in one day.
And it was magnificent. As well as brilliant ensemble work, direction that fizzed with energy and superb dialogue, it offered some new context to the independence debate.
All in all, a real theatrical achievement.
