Wensleydale

today we did the walk we wanted to do yesterday, and it was wonderful. Wensleydale looked truly stunning. We walked along the disused railway line from Bainbridge back towards Hawes, intending to go across the stepping stone. However the heavy rain yesterday put a stop to that and we retuned via a different route, but still with outstanding views.

We then drove over to Semerwater to eat our picnic, eaten in the car as it started raining , and then we drove across Buttertubs, (le cote de buttertubs) over to Muker along Swaledale to Reeth and then back to Hawes via Castle Bolton, and Aysgarth.

What a way to spend our 30th Wedding anniversary. Off to get showered and changed before walking into Hawes for a meal at the White Hart. Perfect.
