That Time Of Year Again

August Bank Holiday weekend means only one thing around here - The Leeds Festival, which takes place inside Bramham park. The main stage is approximately 2 miles as the crow flies from our house.

Traffic management takes over - and these yellow signs pop up everywhere - surprised there is any yellow paint left after the Grand Départ! There are speed restrictions on the main routes to and from the village and part of the A64 is turned into a one way road to ease access to the site.

People begin arriving from Wednesday afternoon - with the main access points opening from 3am on Thursday morning. The biggest jams usually happen around tea time later the same day.

Then on Sunday night and Monday they all leave again - usually trailing gallons of mud all over the roads!

Hope the weather stays fine for them.
