Maritime Drums

A lunchtime show - my favourite festival performance so far - Spoiling. A political satire set in the very near future, about newly-independent Scotland. It was so good I bought a copy of the script on the way out. That's a first for me.

Back down in Leith, I came across the Royal Marines’ Corps of Drums successfully attempting to break the world record for the longest individual drum roll. That's a whole 12 hours and 3 seconds of rolling. Great fun if you like the sound of distant drums. Not so good if you live next door.

The next festival show I'm going to is SmallWar - a play about the horrors of war.
