Look who moved in

... on the nasturtiums while we were away! Still, there's plenty to go round. The flowers are still looking good even if the leaves are a bit holey. If I'm not mistaken, the caterpillars are the larvae of the cabbage white butterfly. They were all in a huddle, but had spread by the time I returned with my camera.

A cabbage white butterfly
knew where to lay her eggs
and soon they hatched in dozens;
my nasturtiums seemed like Greggs!

Now the candytuft is laughing
as small caterpillars spread
across the green nasturtium leaves
where the grubs are so well fed.

The leaves are rather holey now,
but still the flowers bloom.
I'll leave you there, young larvae;
come one and all -- there's room!
