Walkies!

I took some pics of the snow lion costing up to Greyfriers Bobby but I liked this one for my blip as it gives a taste of Edinburgh during the fringe when you are not really too surprised to see a Tibetan Snow Lion out for walkies.

Please don't ask me what Santa is doing there, I'm sure it makes perfect sense to someone.

Tibetan Snow Lion Pays Homage to Greyfriars Bobby

Visiting Edinburgh for the Fringe, Singhe the Tibetan Snow Lion, noted for his fierce appearance but compassionate demeanour and his bright green mane and tail, is keen to make the acquaintance of one of Scotland’s most famous animals.

The Snow Lion, featured on the Tibetan Flag, acts as a protector for Tibetan culture, and normally lives among the high Himalayas. In Edinburgh just for one week, he is supporting the group of eight Buddhist monks from Tashi Lhunpo Monastery who are giving performances in the Quaker Meeting House (Venue 40) from Monday 18th to Saturday 23rd August, and appearing during the Finale of the Just Festival on Sunday 24th August in St John’s Church (Venue 127).
