Day 18 - Going home

And here we are back at the beginning again - Dover. Today was all about driving - about 14 hours of driving all in all - listening to Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials on audiobook. It made the hours fly by.

It was a brilliant holiday all in all. We drove over 3000 miles and saw a huge amount of France. We all improved our French and tried delicious new foods. We spent a lot of time together and all feel so much better for it. I learned how to make an owl out of loom bands and we saw the true extent of the loom band phenomenon across the world... The campsites were littered with them! We canoed, we drove, we listened to a great book, we read, we ate, we chatted, we drank, we swam, we fished, we farmed, we visited and lots else besides. Back to real life now. Boo.
