The Edge of the Wold

This was the first time I've (almost) seen the sun rise in what seems like months, and I didn't have to get up impossibly early either. The sun is migrating south again, almost reaching the notch in Clawthorpe Fell. And the morning was cool too, we kept moving to stay warm. Autumn is just around the corner. The robins are singing again after their summer silence. The swifts gave gone back to Africa. The scotch argus butterflies have disappeared after the showers and wind, and I have again failed to blip one.

At work we are working flat out preparing our case for an Inquiry, everything has to be finished by the end of this week. At home our visitors are still with us, and good company they have been, we shall miss them tomorrow when they leave.

Time is short, I'm sorry that comments are so few. When the Inquiry is done, and the evenings are drawing in, there will be more time. Gus is well, and Reg is tucked up in the straw of his insulated house. All is well with this tiny corner of the world.
