MonoMonday – Recycling

This is my (half finished) native bee hotel, made just a bit too late in the season to get very many inhabitants. But once the few bee and wasp larvae that are sealed in their little holes have emerged, I'll take it down and finish the rest of it, ready for the coming Summer's nest building activity. It is meant to attract the solitary native bees and wasps – and anything else that wants to use it.

It is made entirely of recycled materials, all found around my garden – except for the pallet, which my parents' fridge came on.

WetcoastBob is hosting this month's MonoMonday challenge.

(The foreground plant is yesterday's rosemary.)

(And you'll need to go LARGE to see the bricks, bits of wood, fir cones and canes that make up the 'rooms' of the hotel.)
