MonoMonday: Recycling

This fabulous set of coiled baskets is one of my favourite finds from Oxfam. Created using wonderful shiny and colourful recycled wrappers and labels by the Bangladeshi women from the village of Muktagacha to earn income to provide for their families.

I really love the way that this very old traditional handcraft has been given a contemporary spin using recycled materials. I also enjoy the visual complexity created in the mono version by the patterns in the recycled material.
