Autumn arachnid

As I was driving home from a flying visit to school to sort out a couple of things I noticed a lot of yellow leaves blowing around on the ground signalling that autumn really is upon us. More signs:

- back to my wearing my mac to keep me dry and warm
- massive male house spiders scuttling out to find a mate scare me
- I had to put the heating on for an hour yesterday to get the chill out of the air
- the garden is covered with these (slightly scary) beauties and they are getting bigger!

I managed to get this shot from inside the house (luckily the window was clean). Still tired from the weekend's jaunts too, I must be getting old!
