Standalone

Under my direction, Jack Dennison, my publisher's Glasgow rep., took this pic of me beside a display at Waterstone's Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow. Jack spent most of the day ferrying J and I around Glasgow and environs to sign books in five different stores, before lunching (very late) at Jamie Oliver's Italian restaurant in George Square. It is situated in the old GPO building. Last time I was in there was to take a passport photograph 20 odd years ago.

Back to our hotel then for a couple of hours respite before heading for the BBC at Pacific Quay, for an appearance live on the BBC2 "Scotland 2014" show, followed by an hour in a BBC Radio Scotland studio to comment live on the daily referendum show. Quite happy to have been the first to comment adversely on the risible Better Together TV ad designed to appeal to women. Before the end of the night it was trending on Twitter as #patronisingBTwoman. Scottish humour going into overdrive.
