The house just along from us is being completely made-over – surely it would have been quicker and easier to knock it down and start from scratch? The work, noise and dust commenced at least six months ago and will continue till the middle of next year. The good news is … as soon as this one’s finished, they’re going to start on the one next door. In the current litigation culture, maybe we should sue? Trouble is, the owners are friends and neighbours. With friends like these, who needs enemies?
