Evening Walk

Over a dozen Marlborough Camera Club members and some spouses are staying in Motueka for the weekend. We are here for the annual Seddon Shield Weekend which is a gathering of camera clubs from the top of the South Island. Today over 30 of the attendees went on a boat trip from Kaiteriteri Beach, and north up the coast of the Abel Tasman National Park. We were away for over six hours, spending most of that time on the water with some spells ashore. It was a photographers’ dream of a day with cloud clearing mid-morning and fine sunny weather for the remaining time. With over 250 images to choose from, I had great difficulty tonight in selecting one to blip. But when we finally disembarked Ricky, a Blipper, and I drove over the hill to Marahau to check out the scenery and photography in that area. The afternoon sun was shining on the tidal flats and folk were walking out along the shore as the tide was going out. A couple were walking their dogs along the shore, enjoying the late winter sun…. a blissful scene.
