MILL RACE.

There used to be a mill in the orchard. It was demolished in the 194o's when a crippling tax was imposed and many private mills were forced to close.
The water is flowing strongly at the moment as a result of the recent rains and snow.
The sound of running water is part of our lives and I love the fact that it blocks out other incidental sound, like passing cars.
