Another beautiful summer's day......

Have had a lovely Sunday...... Church in the morning..... it was our 'back to school' service, where the youth of the church are highlighted and really organise the service. We had the headmaster of our local high school talking to us, and we had a choir from our local primary school singing to us....... it was grand.

And something out of the ordinary...... our Minister and our BB Captain had both been nominated to do the Ice Bucket Challenge, and so they decided to do it this morning ...... in the church sanctuary...... everyone who watched was asked to give a donation for the refugees in Iraq....... they brought in a huge waterproof sheet and put it down in front of the Communion Table, then they brought in the biggest paddling pool I have ever seen. Gordon was first, and he stood in the centre of the paddling pool and was drenched by the icy water, then Iain had his turn. It was hilarious, I was only sorry that I didn't have my camera with me. And a fair bit of money made for the poor refugees, as nearly everyone stayed to see the fun.

Had a quiet afternoon in the garden with C, the HG went over to cut R's grass at one point; and now for a quiet night watching TV.

Hope you all have had a great weekend.
