The Roaches View

After being at home for most of the day pottering about I decided to set off for somewhere different to get some fresh air, exercise and a photo or two.

40 minutes later and I'm putting my walking boots on below The Roaches just outside Leek in Staffordshire. I was hoping for a sunset but that didn't really happen. So here's a shot of the early evening sunlight on the gritstone rocks. The body of water in the background is Tittesworth Reservoir.

I had a great time tramping over the rocks as it was going dark. I should do this more often.

P's done his first day of Hadrian's Wall walk today. He said it was a bit strange walking through the city of Newcastle-upon-Tyne!
