Welcome Spring!

The day was cold and dull until mid-afternoon when the sun broke through and streamed down upon my back as the fragrance of this sweet little Muscari drifted up to greet me.

Otherwise known as Grape Hyacinths, a tiny spring bulb producing spikes of dense, most commonly blue, urn-shaped flowers resembling bunches of grapes, they are a must in the spring garden or perhaps in a pot for all to enjoy.

Mrs Blackbird is still building her nest but already young Joey, the cat from next door, is sniffing the air and pacing around underneath the clematis, I don't like the chances of Mrs Blackbird finishing her nest.

This is spring, 4 weeks until daylight saving comes in, roll on bbq time in a lovely new garden, all things going well.

Happy Monday everyone :)
