Bumper crop

Our next door neighbour has had a bumper crop of plums, onions and tomatoes and we benefited from this bounty yesterday. So today my relaxation time was spent in making Richly Spiced Plum Chutney. The little bits we had to lick off the work surface (well you know what I mean) tasted very promising.

It smelt deliciously spicy too.

We now have to wait patiently for two week s before we try it properly.

All this on the day when normally I would have been going back into school for the first day of the new school year. It was lovely to have a lie in instead!
