Found Moments of Wonder

St Ives Estate Woods. Bingley.
------------------------------------

This is a quote from fellow Blipper 'FoundMoments' (aka John) , whose thoughts on photography and perception yesterday really struck a chord with me.

"I think the problem photography has is it is explicit reality, beautiful to observe fleetingly but much better when diffused slightly so that our minds, hearts and emotions can feel, fill in and create. We need to consider more the painters and sculptors ability to present a representation, a proximity, their feeling and perspective of the reality they are depicting. Photos can just be too literal and therefore give up all their wonder."

Are photos too literal? Are they globally reducing our wonder?
