The three monkeys after their bath tonight.

Alfie had his review at the hospital today. Neurologically they are pleased with how he is progressing. We had a look at his three MRI's which was 'interesting' or would be if it wasn't your own child but you know what I mean. It was still 'good' to be talked through things but, my goodness, how ill he was..... He also had an ultrasound of his hip which confirmed fluid in the joint caused by (probably) the same virus but not related to his brain swelling. This explains the recent setback from the weekend and why he couldn't walk on it. This should go away on it's own in a few days.... Despite all this, I feel he is better in himself, and almost like his proper little self. Probably the first time I have felt that for three weeks...

Now it's a case of phasing him back into life, and nursery and every day goings on.... Hopefully now we can really start to wave this off into the distant past while trying to ignore the thought that this could potentially happen again... But we have to believe it won't... surely to goodness that's us finished with it now :)
