Levitron

We had a fascinating forces workshop today, which consisted of playing with physics toys such as this levitron, and discussion about forces and how we might teach the concepts to students.

The levitron is a levitating spinning top. If you want to know how it works, Google it and have a look at their website! It's quite difficult to get going, but I managed it a couple of times. I think I might just have to buy one myself to use in my classroom!
