Glenshee

What a wonderful day. The sky was grey when we set off towards the Cairngorms. After a brief stop at a waterfall and then for morning coffee we traveled up Glenshee as the sun came out. It was a wonderful drive through the Cairngorms National Park.

We took a slight diversion to the Linn of Dee, another bridge and waterfall where the water has created a little gorge, then had lunch in Braemar. We continued on our journey, past the Balmoral Estate (no invite for coffee!). Then we took another diversion down Glen Muick and a walk to Loch Muick. It was a bit further than we thought but the scenery was wonderful. Unfortunately the sun had gone in by then and the sky was quite grey.

We completed our circular tour home, after a stop for afternoon tea, across the top via Glen Dye and Cairn O'Mount. Still beautiful views although by this time the light was dull and it was hazy.

Thanks to ANewDay for a wonderful day.
