Checking the Net

Yes, its that's time of the year again and whitebait season is in full swing. A cold breeze was blowing off the sea and sea fog was hugging the coastline, we found this happy whitebaiter tucked away near the sand dunes. He's well set up with his chair to relax in while he waits, his bucket ready for those tiny fish and of course the nets are placed just where he wants them but the fish weren't biting today.

Very hazy creating a lovely soft background, just a few ripples on the estuary with minimal colour. Quite surprising as just 10 minutes after this shot was taken the sun broke through as you'll see from mum's blip, we had moved to another location where a little fantail joined us flitting around and chirping madly, he was quite excited to see us but we were unable to capture him.

I've been an absent blipper of late as my eyes have been bad with the allergy season and the little time I've had on the computer has been spent on organising our Central Otago holiday shots. Thanks to everyone who have stopped by and left lovely words, stars and hearts, I do enjoy reading them and hope to be back here soon.

Happy Thursday everyone :)
