Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red

Every poppy represents a British military death during the First World War which broke out 100 years ago.

This is evolving art which is filling the moat of the Tower of London with ceramic poppies totalling 888,246. The last one is going to be planted on 11 November.

Amazing to see, wonderfully created with such imagination! A huge tourist attraction and all to the good as each poppy can be bought for £25 (plus P&P) with the net proceeds being shared amongst six service charities.

The poppies have been made by ceramic artist Paul Cummins and the setting by stage designer Tom Piper
