Zombie attack

I spent the best part of today on the river bank in Mülheim, with a group of friends from the American Womens Club of Düsseldorf, dragonboat racing.

We were raising money for Friedensdorf International and at the same time having fun (whilst wearing wigs, of course) and trying to consume as much sekt as possible without losing the capabilty to paddle.

We came fourth in our first heat* but our second heat included this team of zombies.

I don't know if we were fueled by alcohol or the fear that the zombie guys put into us by yelling at the starting line, "we eat English brains", or maybe they had over imbibed on the beer (unlikely to be sekt drinking zombies...) but we won that heat!

We were so very proud of ourselves, just a shame we didn't have enough people to (wo)man the boat for the third heat.
