Aylesbury Quaker Meeting House

Today I was at Aylesbury Quaker Meeting House for a workshop to discuss the future direction of the Chiltern Quaker Programme and, more broadly, what we mean by Outreach, what sort of activities might form part of this and how we can measure their success. Alastair Fuller, Head of Outreach Development at Friends House, guided us very skilfully through our considerations.

It was a very enjoyable and stimulating day; I had a chance to spend time talking with and getting to know several Friends from both Aylesbury and Jordans Meeting whom I'd not met before. The Meeting House itself is beautifully simple, with a very attractive garden. It's set back from the main street, with a terraced house at the front providing space for a library and a conference room. The wardens, Geoff and Jane, were wonderfully welcoming and hospitable. A day well spent.
