The Edge of the Wold

It could be the perfect match: Jess and Gus, two young farm workers seen here in the Land Rover before setting off to looker the sheep. She has blue eyes set in a white face, he has brown in a split black and white face. They are both friendly, gentle souls - not the rough, tough, nippy sheepdogs typically found on farms. They have chemistry, they like each other a lot. But alas, Andrew the farmer believes that Gus isn't good enough for Jess, he doesn't have that all-important piece of paper - a pedigree.

He may have come from a working family of collies, but without the pedigree, his puppies wouldn't have any value if sold as working dogs. We have tried to convince Andrew that there are people other than farmers who might like to have a Gusling, but he's having none of it. Poor Gus. How could anyone resist his charms?
