Saturday 13 February 2010: Diving Day

<back blip>

a very early start this morning to pick up another couple of members of divetech to head along to our regional training day at Furnace on Loch Fyne. J managed to finish her Ocean Diver course and is now qualified (congratulations!) and we got another new club member into the water. I was instructing/observing all day, so no underwater photos.

It was a beautiful day to be out and about, with bright sunshine on a fairytale landscape of frost most of the way across. Loch Long (pictured) was like a mirror, and I thought I was going to have a mutiny on my hands when we got out first glimpse of Loch Fyne as it was frozen right across at the end. Fortunately there was no ice where we were diving, and the water temperature was about 9 degrees, which isn't too bad.

After completing the dives, it was time to rush back to Edinburgh to go out for a lovely evening with friends - thanks for entertaining us T&J!
