Sewing Machine

We bought this sewing machine the other day on a sale. It's the first modern one I have ever owned. As a child, I learnt to sew on a treadle which didn't have anything but a straight stitch, so this is a big improvement. I still miss that beautiful piece of furniture, though, even though it's probably more than 35 years since I last saw it in my mother's house.
